Nurse Ina, though completely overwhelmed, has been so much more than amazing. My dad is not feeling his best and might have done a little too much when we were there. Tomorrow we find out what stage dad is in and I would love if you could all pray that he is in stage one – Yay optimism. The good news is that there is no second-guessing. We had three amazing doctors look at his film and they all agree on the course of action- Get Herb strong , then shrink the tumor with chemotherapy so that he can possibly get the Whipple surgery – sounds simple right? As a family we are all unified - whatever my father wants to do is the direction we will take. Tomorrow I promise to update you more. XXOO Suze

Thanks, Suze. The Yalofs are in the thoughts and prayers of the Quechee community. We miss seeing your father at coffee and I miss your mother at yoga and pilates. I'm sure they know there are many friends to call on here if we're needed and we are just giving them peace and quiet - for now.

Im so glad you all had such a nice labor day weekend together. And thank you for this blog, such a great way to keep everyone in the loop. As a friend of the family and a babysitter for the Schwartz's I was welcomed into this amazing family 2 years ago with open arms when we met. Herb - the few times we have been able to chat and hang out while you and Ina have visited have been a pleasure and you are in my prayers everyday. You and your family's love for life are contagious and you deserve the best. I feel so lucky to have met you all...know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Suze, thanks so very for keeping all of us posted on Herb's condition. Although I don't know all the wonderful folks that have responded to yours and other's comments, it's heartening to read about their relationship to Herb and the family. It's so positive and uplifting as if we now are all part of your family. There's a lot of collective energy going on and it's all focused on getting Herb well. Let's all keep the energy flowing. Lots of love to you, Mark and the kids.
