We are all thinking of you at this time of great sadness. You have shown such strength: all of you.
ReplyDeleteYalofs, I can host a couple of people here at my apartment in NYC if need be. We have a separate guest room with a blow-up queen sized mattress and a couch (so really three people could fit if necessary.) Only caveat: the guest room is on the fifth floor, and it's a walk-up.
If anyone is reading this and would like housing for the funeral, email me at dckogan@gmail.com or call 917-744-8295.
All my love, Deb
Dear Ina Suze, Leslie and Steve, I tried to post a comment, but failed in my effort. We are saddened by your loss; it is a great loss for us as well. Who else could Qvell about our grandchildren with us,but Herb and Ina? We are grateful you had this incredible experinc with him as he passed; it is exactly what he wanted and you granted his wishes. We send you all our love and especially to Suze. Linda and Arthur
ReplyDeleteSuze, I have been really transported by your postings. I am especially grateful for sharing your eulogy, as I felt I was in the room with you all. Our hearts full, our eyes watery, and our minds focused on a life that meant so much to so many people. Thank You for letting me say goodbye to my Uncle Herbie. Of course the room was packed, but there are hundreds of us out there who quietly remember the gift of love Herbie reflected into this world. I am glad he is with Phil and Harvey, The Yalof Trifecta! They were all the most generous and kind spirited people we will ever know. Their influence is a part of who we are and makes us all better. Ina, Stephen, Leslie, Suze, and all the cousins, I miss you all and fondly remember the days in The Yalof NJ home. Herbie and Ina, the King and Queen of warm family gatherings and holiday celebrations. I am so lucky for these memories. I speak for all The Goodmans on The West Coast who love and adore you and have you in our hearts and thoughts now and always. All our love, jodi
